Audiobaton first formed in 2018 as a 3-piece in Birmingham, AL, but has since morphed into multiple iterations of a dynamic 4-piece now based in Dallas, TX. Current members include Mario Cernadas (guitar, vocals), Andrew Czornyj (drums), Sara Cernadas (bass), and Grahm Frey (guitar). The band puts a fresh spin on the noisier, fuzzier brand of shoegaze, tonally inspired by many 80s & 90s influences including Sonic Youth, Husker Du, and Dinosaur Jr. Audiobaton has self-released a demo, 2 EPs, and a handful of singles and continues to write and record with plans to release a new EP by Spring 2024.
