HAYEFIELD
HAYEFIELD is comprised of songwriters Taylor Hyatt, John-Dillon Lamberth III (Trey), Dylan Reid (Terry-Dean), and Tyler Haley. Formed in 2019, HAYEFIELD mixes edgy Red Clay with heavy-hitting pop choruses along with a live performance sure to fill-up your bartenders’ pockets and put the bar backs to work. HAYEFIELD recently worked with, three-time Grammy award winner Zach Allen, for their debut EP set to release in 2021. Prior to the not yet named EP, HAYEFIELD has worked with Nashville Engineer, Billy Decker and Grammy-nominated rock icon, Aaron Gillispie (Underoath/Paramore) for their initial releases. Billy Decker has sixteen #1’s to date and has sold over 25 million RIAA certified albums (Sam Hunt, Rodney Atkins, Darius Rucker, Chris Young, Dustin Lynch, and more.)
Taylor and Trey met at a local dive bar while attending college but the two didn’t exactly “hit it off.” After an inebriated musical debate, the two went their separate ways. Taylor pursued a musical partnership with Trey asking to write together every 6 months or so, on the basis that Trey was actively involved in the music circuit. Trey continued to focus on other projects, but fate had other plans.
In 2018, Hyatt was selected as a finalist in Nashville’s “Rising Song” competition. Once again, he reached out to Trey with hopes that he would assist in his song selection, however, Trey was inspired by the new material Hyatt had shared and offered his opinions. Par for the course, Taylor decided to choose a different song than Trey had suggested but still managed to garner the 2nd runner-up position (Trey still thinks he could have won if he had gone with his song choice).
Two months after the competition the two agreed to meet and discuss music over Margs and Mexican food. This time, with the help of a couple of tequila shots bought for them by another patio patron, the two completed their first release “Whiskey River” within a matter of minutes.
HAYEFIELD was originally built as a country Duo performing with an extended “live band.” Fate had other plans. Both Dylan Reid and Tyler Haley were childhood friends of Trey’s but careers had sent the three in separate ways. While Trey toured, Tyler Haley had joined the air force and was stationed in Minot, North Dakota, Dylan Reid had started his own Drywall business in their hometown. During the fall of 2019 HAYEFIELD’s workload was increasing but their carousel of “live members” was continually spinning. Yet again, fate had other plans. Tyler Haley had been approved to move back to Central Arkansas, where Trey and Taylor had settled. Trey then recruited Dylan to join in February of 2020.
